- Private or group teaching for home-schooled children
- Coaching for Khan Academy students (use of the website, kahnacademy.org is FREE -- highly recommended for students from first grade through high school)
Experience:
- Tutoring five years privately, with Canada College, and with four tutoring organizations
- Leader of Awesome Math Funshops at Redwood City Recreation Center and homes of hosting parents in Mountain View, San Carlos, Mill Valley, and Hayward.
- Father of six children with PhD in applied mathematics and 42 years engineering research experience
Rate:
- $50 per hour for one-on-one instruction of students in school
- Discounts for home schoolers, two or more hours in a week, and two or more students at a time
- Two-hour Math Funshops -- $200 per session, cost-shared by four to eight families.
- NO CHARGE for being your student's Khan Academy coach -- at-will donations gratefully accepted.
